riding in the sierra nevada

The riding here in the Sierra Nevada has a bit of a reputation. Like most reputations, some of it is based on truth, some on legend. But lets be clear, ride-tribe are about swoopy, cruisy riding and laid back times. If you fancy pushing your boundaries we'll help you along with some tips and coaching, but no-one should feel out of their depth when riding with us.

We only guide small groups, and work hard to make sure we understand what you want from your holiday. That means spending time getting to know you before you part with your cash so we make sure you're going to get what your looking for.

The different trips we offer are suited to different skill and fitness levels. The alpujarran adventure and smash & grab trips can be tailored to your fitness, skill and preferences, either as an exclusive group or matched with similar riders. The tres mil requires an element of fitness and stamina to get the most out of it, with El Limite week being in a class of it's own! And finally to the WAGS Weeks, where we move onto more demanding terrain for the main group of riders, taking on singletrack, steep descents and loads of technical features.

If you're looking for something that doesn't fall in to the above categories then just get in touch and we'll be happy to see what we can do. We can adapt our trips for dedicated groups, add side trips to Granada, the beach or the ski slopes, or even add in other activities such as rock climbing, gorge walking or parasailing. And if we can't offer what you're looking for we'll point you in the direction of someone who can.

what's included

All our holidays include the following:

• Transfers to/from Malaga or Granada airport.
• Accomodation, breakfast & lunch.
• 4x4 support including uplift to trailhead where reaquired.
• Guided riding for each day on the smash & grab and tres mil; and for 5 days on the alpujarran adventure and WAGS weeks. El Limite week has a slightly different structure, with guiding on 4 days, the exceptions being race day and rest day.
• Workshop facilities.

dates, availability & booking

We run our holiday schedule in a couple of different ways. Due to their more complex nature, some of our trips, such as the WAGS Weeks and tres mil only run on certain dates for groups of less than 6 people. However, if you have a booking for 6 or more then we will run one of these holidays exclusively for you, on the date of your choice.

The alpujarran adventure , smash & grab and gravity grab work slightly differently. We run these at various times throughout the year, and it works like so:

• Get in touch saying which holiday you would like, and when you would like to come.
• Regardless of whether there's 1 or 6 of you, if we're free, you're in.
• Other riders may be added to your group, unless you have an exclusive booking. However, on these holidays we never ride with more than 6 in a mixed group. Similarly we won't deliberately create mismatched groups: if you're a couple looking for a quiet week's progressive riding you won't find yourself with a big group of partying hammerheads!
• If we already have a booking on that date we can either add you to the other group, or give you other date options.
